Terminal Maps
The 'New Southampton Airport' was opened in 1994 by HRH the Duke of York.
Over 1 million passengers pass through the airport each year flying to 33 different destinations.
Check-in desks are directly in front of you as you enter the building through the main doors.
Check in times should be checked on your ticket or with the individual airline. A general guide for check in at Southampton is:
- International and domestic flights - minimum 60 minutes prior to departure.
- MyTravel, TUI, First Choice and Thomas Cook holiday flights - minimum 2 hours prior to departure.
Boarding usually begins around 45 minutes before departure.
Flight departure information, including flight numbers are displayed on TV monitors located throughout the concourse.
Southampton Terminal Facilities
| Bureaux de Change | Located in the main landside concourse (before security) next to WH Smith. |
| Cash Dispensers | There are cash dispensers located next to Travelex and WH Smith in the main concourse. |
| Information Desk | The Airport Information Desk is opposite WH Smith. |
| Pay Phones | Located throughout the terminal, with textphones at each end of the main concourse. Coin, phonecard and credit cards accepted. |
| Postal services | There is a post box immediately outside the terminal. Stamps are available from the WH Smith store. |
| Toilets | Male, female and disabled facilities available in arrivals and departures areas. |
| Baby care room | There is a baby care room located in the main concourse, with private feeding cubicle and bottle warmer. |
| First aid | The first aid room with adjacent accessible toilet can be found by the arrivals exit in the main concourse. |
| Baggage trolleys | Free baggage trolleys are provided in key areas around the terminal building. |
| Car Hire | There are five car hire companies available opposite the check in desks. |
